I'm 100% satisfied with my product, the vendor and amazon, what can I say unbelievable price, ease of use and good quality, I was tired of looking at stores both online and brick and mortar trying to find something fairly priced to use with my netbook until I finally find it here at amazon, I highly recommend this product.

Needed an external drive primarily to install software from CDs I already owned onto my Acer netbook. This product was perfect for the job. If I had spent more time in consideration, I might have bought a rewritable drive instead of read-only, but this drive still accomplished exactly what I needed for much less.

I needed an inexpensive device to install software for an external mini-modem for a netbook, so I could connect to the Internet. The netbook didn't have a CD drive. Though about 1 of every 4 reviews for this item was thumbs-down, the price was right, so I decided to risk it...and I'm glad I did.
True, the casing seems almost flimsy, but it worked. A word of advice: my seller included 2 different cables. One did NOT work. The drive just spun around, then stopped. So I tried the larger cable, and it was all systems go with that one.
