Each number uniquely shows the talents of Mark and Emmylou. Mark flavors each song with his peerless guitar work and folksy voice, while Emmylou enhances the vocals with her wonderful interpretations. It is interesting to hear both musicians exploring their folk roots, after joining up from such diverse musical polarities.

Mark Knopfler is one of the greatest songwriters and guitarists ever. We never get tired of listening to his music and it is amazing how many fans he has out there. This is another great album and one of our favorites and Emmy Lou Harris complimented the songs.

Mark Knopfler is a favorite of mine. Brothers in Arms is wonderful to hear no matter what the day or mood. It was an easy decision to give a listen to this pairing of MK and Emmylou Harris. It is a delight. The lyrics paint scenes and stories vividly so I was glad they have been included with the CD. These two make good music sharing fun-loving and thoughtful moments. You know the time has come for the guy to move on from Donkey Town - how many guys have been there? Love and Happiness is a gem. If This is Goodbye is touching.

Knofler and Harris at their best. The music and words are great from the first to the last song. I love to kick back and just enjoy the CD.

My Dentist had this CD playing when I was in for some work a few weeks ago. (My Harley rider Dentist doesn't play the typical 'elevator music' all day...) I recognized Knopfler's voice and guitar quickly, but not Emmylou's voice. I had to do some research when I got home. If I could have spoken with Novocaine mouth I would have asked him! If you like 'Brothers in Arms' and appreciate some alternative country and folk music mixed in, I think you'll really enjoy this one.
