EA Sports active is like going to a gym. I was sore for a couple of days after my first workout.
Just like the last time I joined a gym. It can be an intense workout(if you chose).So far this is a great product!

I love all the game variety on this program.
The thigh holder slides down on me at times, which I find annoying while I am trying to focus on the workout. And I really think this would be better with a cordless nunchuck. If you get to wild with your movements, the cord isn't long enough from thigh to wrist. That's my Christmas present - cordless nunchuck, here I come!

I had a Wii Fit and thought the exercises not enough of a workout. So I bought the Wii Active when it came out. The concept is really great but the 30 day challenge is the same whether doing the easy, medium, or hard level. Its just more reps of the same old stuff. Lots of exercises are bad for people with knee problems and the game killed my hips (actually had to see a chiro on this one). The game is very stressful because it does not read your movements correctly. Truly an exercise in patience is required every time at least two to three times in the 20 minute period. Then after almost finishing the second 30 day challenge the stupid band broke where its tied to the handles, I put it back together making the band shorter and then the other side broke, now the band is too small. I looked everywhere I could think of to find a band to replace the broken one and can't - so the strength exercises are now useless to me.

This game is a lot of fun. I do have to say that I am looking forward for the release of the EA Active More Workouts because one thing this one has is ab workouts which is lacking in the original EA Active. I am already pretty low in weight so I was not really expecting to lose weight but to get more toned and I think it definately helped me there. My workout before the 30 day challenge consisted of just the elliptical and kundalini yoga. I never really liked to do arm exercises much. The EA active is great for me because it does alot of arm work outs with a resistance band and ALOT of lunges which I also would have never done that much on my own. This game is great because having a personal trainer talking to you really does help you to keep going.If you are already an active person, you are probably not going to be satisfied for how many calories you burn on the 3o day challenge. The average is like 150 in a half hr. I notices my results are better if I incorporate a little treadmill or elliptical with this game to get more of a calorie burn. If you are not active at all, and want to get off that couch, this is great! It is fun and does not seem like you are working out! Highly Recommend.

It's not the toughest out there, but a pretty decent workout. Really gets your heart pumping and better yet, you are paying attention so much to the tv screen that the reps are over before you know it. I was doing "workout in a chair" which I recommend more for kids than adults, it was on my kid's video, and I didn't find that all that challenging. I recommend checking this game out, it's worthwhile for a light-moderate workout at home and the interactivity of it is just wonderful. "Workout in a chair" is pretty lame, really.
