Will return item soon.Nov 17, 2009 This worked for a full day. That's all. The second day, the light stayed on and never went off again. I finally had to take it down and will be returning it for a refund. Bummer.
It didn't work for meNov 16, 2009 The light just stays on. It's more than 1 foot away from either wall so not sure what they problem is. I put black tape over the sensors facing the wall and that still didn't work.
Sucks, because I really wanted this to work. I own a building and I'd rather have the lights turn on and off when people enter the building.
I read the instructions completely and not way to deal with it.
Turns the light onNov 05, 2009 We have this in the pantry. It was a much cheaper way to turn the light on when the door opened than wiring a switch into the hinge.
The only problems with it are minor. It needs 25+ watts. a 100Watt(24) CFL will NOT work. It also killed itself after a few years of operation when the bulb flashed out. One day, opened the pantry and the light flashed on then off. The bulb burned out, and took out the sensor. But it had worked well for 2+ years.
The nice thing is the light isn't ever on in the pantry overnight anymore.
Turn ons/Turn offsNov 04, 2009 This motion sensing light socket works pretty well. You may need to experiment a little with the area you want the motion to be detected. Once on, the light stays on for four minutes. I would prefer it if the light went off no more than a minute after it stops sensing motion.

Works, but not with CFLs!Nov 03, 2009 This is a fine unit for old-fashioned incandescent bulbs, but it does not work with energy-saving compact fluorescents.
