Description:
Godsmack was founded in February '95, when lead vocalist Sully Erna decided to step out from behind the drum kit to front the band with bassist Robbie Merrill, guitarist Tony Rombola and drummer Tommy Stewart (drummer Shannon Larkin joined in June 2002, replacing Tommy Stewart). These Boston-based rockers have sold well over 8 million records on their first four albums. Godsmack has more top ten Active Rock Radio singles than ANY other group history. They have charted an amazing total of 13 hits with five #1's including "Speak," their hit from Godsmack IV and "Awake," "Straight Out of Line" as well as the twice-Grammy-nominated "I Stand Alone" (from the Scorpion King soundtrack). Awake's "Vampires" earned Godsmack their fourth Grammy nomination for "Best Rock Instrumental Performance" in 2002. "Good Times, Bad Times: 10 Years of Godsmack" INCLUDES A 75 MINUTE DVD OF ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCE FILMED AT THE HARD ROCK HOTEL IN LAS VEGAS, and Features the previously unreleased version of Led Zeppelin's "Good Times Bad Times".

Great package dealDec 22, 2008 All compilations should be like this. The CD speaks for itself, all their best tunes, but they chose to package it with 20 pages of band liner stories and historical backgrounds on the tunes, and a hour long live DVD. Godsmack fans should eat this puppy up. Excellent production quality here. (Although I'm still ticked Tommy Stewart left the band.)

Buy it for the live DVDOct 21, 2008 I have been a fan of Godsmack's music for years now, and my favorite release by them is "The Other Side", which is all acoustic songs with some acoustic versions of older songs. I bought this CD and DVD mainly for the live show of Godsmack at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas. It was an acoustic show, with most of "The Other Side" material played live, and it was worth the price of this CD and DVD. Being a fan, I have all of the songs on this CD already on their other discs, except for the cover of Led Zeppelin's "Good Times, Bad Times" (which is a good straight forward cover of the original), but the DVD is what got me to buy it, and that alone was worth the price for me. The DVD is presented in 16x9 widescreen with Dolby 5.1 sound. Highly recommended for Godsmack fans.
Godsmack CDSep 22, 2008 This is a great CD. Godsmack really rocks and they have a lot of great songs on one CD.
Godsmack Rocks!Sep 13, 2008 This is an awesome album, though there are a few notable songs missing, such as "Sick of Life" and "Trippin'." But, it's excellent for those ignorant to Godsmack and old fans alike. Can't wait for Godsmack V!

A Decade of GodsmackAug 30, 2008 This compilation is a great way to connect with their music. The bonus DVD features an accoustic set that compliments the tracks on the CD. (The reason I purchased this on CD from Amazon and not iTunes is because of the DVD).
Five stars because I relate to the obvious influences of Alice in Chains and think the DVD's drum duet with Sully and Shanon Larkin is worth the price alone. If you need a further fix and already have all of Godsmack's stuff, check out Another Animal (which is Godsmack minus Sully and instead Ugly Kid Joe's Whitfield Crane).
Play it loud!
