Description:
There are artists who've got something, and there are artists who've got it. And upon hearing the voice for the first time, it's obvious that Kevin Michael is firmly in the latter category, His debut album is packed with superstar guests appearances from Wyclef Jean, Lupe Fiasco, Saigon, and Q Tip. The self titled album is the sound of a prodigy staking his claim to the throne, music that serves as an announcement to the world that a phenom has arrived.

tonya23Apr 08, 2008 I really enjoy listening to the Kevin Michael cd...his voice is sexy and refreshing...Track #5-Vicki Secrets is my favorite, Kevin's voice is awesome on this track with the falsetto....he has Lupe Fiasco, Wyclef Jean and Q-Tip featured on tracks! I'm totally impressed! I made a really good choice purchasing this cd.

Too blessed to be stressedFeb 23, 2008 People are sleepin on this dude right here. There's alot of comparisons to be made between Kevin Michael and the Purple One. Wyclef on the album is boo boo but Q-tip saves it.
HITTING THE RIGHT NOTE!Feb 09, 2008 Found Kevin Michael after following up on the very talented Akil Dasan from the Missy Elliot "Road to Stardom" show. Akil features his beatbox & guitar skills on two of Kevin's tracks (when's the album out Akil?). As for the CD, I am feelin' every song, my favourites being Love Letter and Vicki Secrets - the album hasn't left my player for the past fortnight! His vocals are astonishing, clearly reflected in the heavy hitters joining him on some of the tracks - Wyclef J, Q-Tip and Lupe Fiasco to name a few! He is surely going to blow up HUGE and deservedly so. By the way Kevin, hurry up and come back to the UK!!!

NU BLOODDec 20, 2007 This project is quite impressive I must say. He is a part of the new breed and hopefully the direction music for teen and young adults are taking. A nice mix of hip-hop, R&B, reggae flavor with futuristic sounds and lyrical perspective. He definately has something to say along with the catchy hooks, flow and unique vocal quality and sound that is reflective of ole school but at the same time different enough to be distinguishable from past artist. Hopefully, he will get the exposure he deserves. Through mediums like amazon, some that may not have known about him are having that opportunity, like myself.
And I got to mention the fact that Q-Tip, makes a guest appearance on a funky track that just puts the icing on the cake for me. Those of you who are supporters of Q-Tip from Tribe, as well as his, solo work understand that this kind of endorsement carries alot of weight for those who can appreciate hip-hop on a whole nuther level. This project definately lives up to that standard. Oh, and look out for his movie day bue on January 25, 2008.
