Description:

"David Lee who?" is the question posed by this 2 Disc compendium of six years of Sammy Hagar-era performances. "Won't Get Fooled Again" is too obvious and tired a tune to be more than a novelty; better bets are firey renditions of "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love" and "Jump" (highlighted by Hagar's Michael Jackson impersonation). --Jeff Bateman

5How do I know when it's love?Nov 14, 2008
Sure enough, they shoulda this & that, whatcha expect, each tour had more songs but each year Eddie was further down the bottle. Monsters everywhere. What if, whatever, my only gripe is the plastic JC on the lawn shoulda been the obelisk off LZ's Presence. At least that's what Frank Zappa whispered in my ear the night before he died.

Now, then, here's the (emotionally extravagant) part of my review everyone's been waiting for!

I spent 10 miserable years settling for half a wife, and I'll be damned if I come outta that settling for even 10 minutes of half a gurlfriend. Kissless, a whole decade, like Snow White, I was waiting for (the) one that was gonna make some meaning of everything. I'm waiting for someone to come into focus and teach me my final love lesson. Aren't you?

All, or nothing at all.

3Van Halen - 'Live: Right Here, Right Now' (Warner Bros.)Nov 01, 2007
Review # 48. This live 2-CD catalog title by the almighty powerful Van {wailing} Halen is simply too 'routine' for me. Not that it's a bad offering of their live performances. It just gets old fast. Tunes like "Poundcake", the uplifting "Ain't Talking About Love", "Dreams", "Why Can't This Be Love?", "Best Of Both Worlds", their Who cover "Won't Get Fooled Again" and the WAY over-played "Jump" are always good to hear but perhaps I've heard a few too many bootlegs of theirs to get all tanked up about this legit release. I honestly believe that female fans just might possibly get more out of 'Live: Right Here, Right' than their male companions.

5Van Halen Live, Gotta Love itJun 04, 2007
Van Halen's Live: Right Here Right Now's Album has 24 whole tracks for your listening pleasure. The roaring fans boosts up your momentum making you fell as if you are actually there (if you play it loud enough) These guys were great live! All of their all time favorites and then some are on this CD. The songs you know and love are all in this great album. If your're into rock and roll and don't have this, you need it!

5Good But stillApr 29, 2006
I really like this album, But maybe it was a little bit ofensive including almost the whole F.U.C.K album. I am not saying that I don?t like it, because I think it is the best Van Hagar album. However, Van Halen has more to perform alive. I think that more songs from the Roth's period would have been cool! Rock N Roll Forevaa!

4Albums (not boots, videos) from 86 and 98 tours would be betterApr 05, 2006
This is the only one VH live album. It is mostly set list from F.U.C.K. album. It is overall very good but...
1 Mike bass solo is proof of his poor skills
2 Alex drum solo is way too long - who likes drum solos(not talking about drummers:))
3 Cover of the Who is maybe good idea, but why "Won't get fooled...", "can't explain" would be better choice.
Highlights: Poundcake, Judgement day(you can see Eddie soloing:)), Spanked, Man on Mission, Right Now, 316(of course) - it's in fact Eddie's long solo with cathedral, eruption and other licks. But I think guitar solofrom "Live without a net" was even better.
So, it's very good recording, but after watching some videos from diferent VH gigs I think that band was in better shape in 1986 when recording "Live without a net" video. Not to mention VH3 tour.
