The color, which is water soluble and environmentally friendly, is sprayed onto a glass base and baked on at 360 degrees to seal the it in. A second clear seal is applied and baked on the glass to provide greater scratch resistance so the color is permanently bonded to the plate and will not fade. This salad plate is made for everyday use as well as formal entertaining! Be careful not to stack the plates on top of each other, especially with silverware still on the plates, to prevent scratching.
