I just received this product, and when I opened the box it looked ok but the cord is all greasy and covered in old sticky food. I paid full price $29.56 for a brand new hot dog toaster and its disgusting and a refurb.

I bought this for my boyfriend because he loves hotdogs and never does dishes... figured i would kill two birds with one stone. Sure its not like hot dogs off the grill or like boiling them but it does a fine job of heating it up evenly and warming up the buns and the best part is there is no clean up afterwords (now if only i could get him to put this back in to the pantry). p.s. if you dont put two sets of hot dogs in at the same time sometimes when the dog is done it shoots up so fast the hot dog will jump right out of the toaster, I'm not kidding.

Great for kids and quick snacksApr 05, 2009
My kids eat a lot of hot dogs through the month (their favorite snack or lunch). In the past, they always used the microwave which didn't work too well for my 4 and 6 year old who sometimes put them in for too long. I bought this product mainly for them, but the whole family finds it useful. The item cooks hot dogs just right - almost as if they came off the grill! The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the bun cooker. We have our dial set to 3 to cook the hot dogs, but the buns tend to burn at this level. Not a big deal for us, because we are just fine not heating the buns. Overall, I find it a handy product that anyone can use and is easy to clean.

It is quite an awesome appliance! Cooks the hot dogs like you'd get them off the rolling griddle at the local convenience store, and toasts the buns while doing it. The only problem is that sometimes it toasts the buns too well and they burn a bit.
