Don't work on power tools without itNov 16, 2009 I love this thing. Every power tool in my tool shed is noisy, epecially my Harbor Freight dust collector. This earmuff deadens pretty much all the noise. Works so well, my wife periodically gets frutrated that I can't hear her yelling at me from the house. :) I'll never have to worry about losing my hearing doing woodworking with these things. Every wood worker needs to own a pair of these.
They work, in spite of the misleading titleNov 09, 2009 These do not have active noise canceling, but I knew that before I ordered them. They do reduce noise levels substantially. The wires that go over your head are quite strong and I didn't find the unit very comfortable until I bent them to a more gentle arc. Now they still seal very well without that "head in a vise" feeling. The ear cups are quite large and so when I slip the muffs down around my neck after I'm done making noise they are a bit obtrusive, but not overly so. Recommended.
Quality hearing protection for a reasonable priceNov 05, 2009 I've used these earmuffs for over a year now and have been very pleased. They are comfortable to wear and do a very good job at attenuating load noises (lawn mower, shop vac, power tools, leaf blower, etc.) The padded seal on the ear cups does a pretty good job of accommodating my eye glasses, and doesn't noticeably impact the sound attenuation.
A Great Item to have.Oct 31, 2009 I got these noise cancelling ear muffs for the purpose of working on a story that I am writing in a noisy basement. These things work pretty good and they cancel out noise pretty well. They are the first pair of professional earmuffs that I have ever owned, so I don't know what else to compare them to. They do the job that I need and I am satisfied.

best value 29db noise reductionOct 21, 2009 provides the same or better noise reduction than other earmuffs costing 2x-5x the price.
for the person who said it doesn't fit, the size adjusts.
