Not compatible with PlayStation 2 consoles having model numbers beginning with SCPH-30xxx, SCPH-35xxx, or SCPH-39xxx unless you already have an IR receiver (SCPH-10160)

For PlayStation 2 console model numbers SCPH-30001 and SCPH-35001, you will need a copy of the DVD remote control software disc and a Memory Card (8MB) (for PlayStation® 2). If you already own the IR receiver (and software disc where necessary), the ?Open/Close' and ?Reset' buttons on the remote will not function.

PS2 RemoteNov 25, 2008 I've used the regular controller too long for the use of dvd's on my PS2. It was time for a remote. This one was inexpensive and it came promptly. I was very pleased.

PS2 DVD Remote Controller Oct 21, 2008 I purchased this for my husband since he needed this to set the other remote up. It is good to have in case the ONE remote that is used for everything breaks or gets lost. I think it was a good price and the delivery was pretty fast.
Should have bought a long time agoJul 29, 2008 This thing is great. It works with the built in IR reciever in the PS2. It makes watching movies a breeze without having to get up to use the regular controller. Great item. Should have gotten one a long time ago.

It works great on my ps2 as my console is the newer model. It does not work on the older ones just the newer ones. Great buy! Very Happy!
