Description:
Maestro Chia was born in Cienfuegos, Cuba and came to the United States in 1961. He is an accomplished composer having had his songs recorded by renown Latin artists. Enrique Chia has a total of 20 recordings which have sold very successfully in the United States and Latin America. Besides his musical career, enrique chia holds a doctrate in metallurgy and enjoys the great contrast between his musical and scientific career.

Enrique Chia - Ritmos De Mi CubaJul 29, 2007 I just love everything he does! Chia can do no wrong and this records is just another proof of that. The music is great - makes you nostalgic and makes you want to dance. It's wonderful.

lost and faund!Jan 04, 2004 In the early 1992 I ordered tree tapes of piano romantico I listened and I felt in love with this music. with the time my music got lost, and since then I have been trying to find it again I had forgatten the name of the piano player but not his last name. Now that I have my coputer this was my first priority to find this music again and I faunded.To my,this is an Amasing findind!Herique chia is the best of the best.

A Grand ProjectDec 05, 2000 I generally don't go for compilations of medleys as they are usually the cheap way out but the scope of this album is so sweeping that the only way Chia could introduce his audience to all the musical styles of Cuba on one CD is through the device of the medley. While growing up, I was exposed to the many kinds of music my father was into including Cuban music, so I was already familiar with many of the songs presented here. My father recently introduced me to Chia's music and I took an immediate liking to this CD. Ritmos de Mi Cuba is a very easy album to enjoy. The songs flow seamlessly from one to another with Chia's piano prowess evident on each. The album begins with one of my favorite Cuban songs, Lagrimas Negras, and continues on for over an hour with one toe-tapping tune after another. There are no real highlights as the entire CD is a treat. Many of these songs, though they originated in Cuba, are popular throughout the Hispanic world. I heartily recommend this CD both to those interested in Latin music and for those who like piano. This grand project has certainly been worthy of my collection and is fit for listening both at home and in the office.

sensacionalJul 17, 2000 Sin duda alguna esta es una de las mejores adquisiciones musicales que he hecho,la orquestacion en este disco es fantastica,realmente recomiendo a todos los que gusten de la musica latina pues esta es una obra maestra,con profundas melodias y sobre todo mucho ritmo.Felicidades al MAESTRO Chia por este excelente trabajo.

MagnificentApr 16, 2000 His rendition of No LLores Por Mi Argentina (Don't Cry for me Argentina) is absolutely the best I've ever heard. Everything he does on this CD is as though the angels are playing for you. You never tire of it.
