 Do Not Put in a microwave!Nov 21, 2009
Title says it all. The covers are very difficult to put on after the microwave warps them.

This kit includes a good variety of sizes, the containers themselves are pretty clear, and they're more durable than the off brands you see at Walmart, etc. The feature of having the lids snap on the bottom is also useful if you have a lid loss issue like many have sock loss issues...
The only way this could have been a 5 star instead of 4 is that I didn't need so many pill bottle sized containers... I'd trade those all in for a single mid sized one.
I would call this the perfect single guy kitchen kit.

I bought these to replace the 'disposable' ziplock containers I had for more years than I want to count and like the idea of the interchangeable lid system. I absolutely love this product. Pieces store very effiecently. I paid $14 and some change the first time I purchased on Amazon.... then a couple weeks ago I purchased the same 24 piece set for $11.... now they are back up to over $18???? I love the convenience of shopping and research that Amazon offers AND added to that no shipping charges.... but if you are out, do shop for best price. Walmart had this set for $10 last week ... and I bought a couple of sets for my daughter. Still a verry good product in the end!!!

 EXCELLENT but not if you also have the Produce SaversNov 10, 2009
I absolutely LOVE these Rubbermaid containers and the Produce Savers. However, having both of them in my cupboard has turned into quite a mess. The lids fit on both the regular and produce containers BUT they do not seal! I can't tell the difference between the produce save bowl and the regular bowls! I had leftover soup in a produce saver base (accidentally) with a regular rubbermaid lid. It appeared to be a tight seal but as soon as I picked it up and it sloshed around on my way to the fridge my soup spilled all over! If the Produce Saver base was also green like the lids that would be make this a 5 star set.

I had my eye on this set for several months, but kept convincing myself that I didn't need more plastic containers cluttering up my cupboards. But when it finally hit a price point that I couldn't pass up, I bought it. The first thing I did though was throw away (actually recycle) all of the old, mismatched, stained and overused containers we had. I figured if I started out fresh that it would make it easier.
Now that I've had a chance to use this set I am very happy I bought them. The sizes are perfect for our leftovers or lunches. They're clear instead of being opaque like some containers, so it's easy to see what you're grabbing out of the fridge and also no more hunting for the right lid, as they snap on the bottom when stored. In buying these I have actually freed up one entire shelf in my cupboard which was another bonus! (More room for me to put all my other purchases) One last thing to note is that this set is BPA free.
