 fine after I made modificationsMar 21, 2010
The tubing is perfect resistance for me and that part works well. The handles were very floppy and flexible, which doesn't work when you are trying to lift the tubing during exercise. So, I took a package of popsicle sticks, and inserted as many as would fit inside each handle tube to make them stiff and inflexible. That worked out fine and now I can use them without any problem.

I used the xertube once, I did not buy it. It was sent to my brother from his online high school. I placed the tube under my feet as directed, it rolled from under my feet, shot me directly in the right eye. My vision went black for about 15 minutes. To make a long story short, I now have an Opercullated Hole in my eye, possible Retinal detachment, hospital Bills and loss of some of my eye sight. This product is DANGEROUS. All products out there now have a warning: Wear Eye protection, severe head or eye injury may occur. The new tubes come with a nylon sleeve, so that this massive rubberband cannot take your eye out. I told SPRI about this and they had me contact their Ins. Co. They told me, well since we sell hundreds of thousands of these items we dont feel we are responsible for this. Their product is made in Mexico, with no warnings, no protective sleeve. This product is like having a rubberband (large rubberband)( shooting at your face at approx 50 or more mph. SPRI Products , Inc. does not stand behind their product, and no concern about who is injured or how many. The bottom line is they sold hundreds of thousands of these things. This is used in conjunction with P90x and is interesting in that it has quite a bit of resistance for what is essentially a huge rubber band. Good value and it works with the program it is intended for.

I love this product - at-first... I thought the small handles would be an issue but it's not. In-fact I used another brand of resistance bands with bigger handles to see if I'd like it more but I didn't and came back to this model.
The ONLY problem is the knob that comes with this to put into a door is TINY - I used it once and it actually popped out.

Purchased this item for my husband, as the bands he was using kept on breaking. He uses it every day and likes it much better than the band.
