The very best best of Van the ManNov 14, 2009 The first two "Best of Van Morrison" were ok, but this one, the one he did the choosing, is absolutely superb - I can listen to it over and over, it is just so beautiful. I actually think I like every selection, but everyday I have a new favorite. Just starting out with "Cry for Home" with Tom Jones blows me away. Van always seems to sense the right mood, the right words, the right music to, as he puts it so well, "steal my heart away." This cd spoils me for the others I'm afraid - it is fabulous!! I never get tired of it!
I love this Van CD !!!Sep 04, 2009 After listening to a bunch of selections from Amazon, of Van Morrison older + newer music, I decided on this one. I'm am so pleased with my
choice !!! His collaboration with other greats is intense and always brings me into his soulful, really rich world.
The seller was on his game, and delivered it in a few days, perfect condition.

Mumbling MorrisonJun 22, 2009 Boy was I disappointed. Morrison's voice is not as good as it once was but on this album, and most recent ones, his nasal mumbbling is annoying and the lyrics ar unintelligible.
Best Of Van Morrisson, Vol 3Apr 23, 2009 This is a very very good 2-disc set of Van Morrison's music.
Very enjoyable.
I would recommend it to all Van Morrison fans ...
Spotlighting a less publicized part of his careerApr 05, 2009 This is a 2CD 31 song set chosen by Van himself that spans 1993-2005. Always a prolific artist, this is taken from his many CDs of the period as well as a few guest appearnces he's done on other artist's CDs and a few unreleased songs. Most of his later day songs don't get the radio airplay that his earlier stuff did but when you listen to it, it is very worthwhile. There's a few remakes here of earlier classics and although some may not like them as much as his original versions, I think they offer an interesting and different slant on songs like "Moondance" and "Gloria". There's almost 2 1/2 hours of music here and a generous running time of a great artist like Morrison makes this set well worth the price.
