1Mumbling MorrisonJun 22, 2009
Boy was I disappointed. Morrison's voice is not as good as it once was but on this album, and most recent ones, his nasal mumbbling is annoying and the lyrics ar unintelligible.

4Best Of Van Morrisson, Vol 3Apr 23, 2009
This is a very very good 2-disc set of Van Morrison's music.
Very enjoyable.
I would recommend it to all Van Morrison fans ...

5Spotlighting a less publicized part of his careerApr 05, 2009
This is a 2CD 31 song set chosen by Van himself that spans 1993-2005. Always a prolific artist, this is taken from his many CDs of the period as well as a few guest appearnces he's done on other artist's CDs and a few unreleased songs. Most of his later day songs don't get the radio airplay that his earlier stuff did but when you listen to it, it is very worthwhile. There's a few remakes here of earlier classics and although some may not like them as much as his original versions, I think they offer an interesting and different slant on songs like "Moondance" and "Gloria". There's almost 2 1/2 hours of music here and a generous running time of a great artist like Morrison makes this set well worth the price.

5Very good collectionMay 23, 2008
This double album is representative of V.M.'s best recent stuff. The fact that the sublime "Shenandoah" and "Meet Me in the Indian Summer" (Orchestral version) are included is alone worth the price of purchase. I've probably listened to Shenandoah 30 times already; it's a soul-stirring beauty of a song.

3DisappointedApr 02, 2008
I'm a big fan of Van Morrison but was disappointed by some of the "updated" versions of some of the old classics. Like a prior reviewer mentioned, the original versions (the songs I love and remember)are far superior to some of the modified material in this compilation. I will keep searching for a definitive "Best of...". I would recommend listening to all the song samples before buying the album to make sure you like these versions - something I failed to do.
