 Not as bad as people say, actually pretty goodJan 19, 2010
I was surprised to see this being given such bad reviews that I decided to actually write a review of my own. I've had this headset since release day. It was actually a pre-order along with the entire set of Halo 3 controllers, the Halo 3 Limited Edition console and the Halo 3 12month subscription card. Yes my son is a Halo junkie. :) Anyway, he's had this headset since release date and I must say that he is very rough on anything in general and this headset is still in great working condition. I've already had to replace the first wireless one (white one) and tons of other Microsoft wired headsets and this one is still in great shape. There is no complaint about hearing teammates when in a game and he hasn't complained about them not hearing him which is all you need. It comes with two plastic earpieces so that you use the one that is most comfortable for you. If you're a big Halo fan then I'd say go for it.

This is a wonderful comfortable headset. It's sad I can't use it on my PS3, but thats the price you pay with the 360.

excellent headset... but the battey die to early... and in six months its not working, not charging. try with the normal microsoft version.

The headset is great and helps get truly "wireless". It has great sound quality and pretty decent reception. The battery lasts quite some time; however, after owning the headset for about 2 - 3 weeks, it stopped charging. The headset was used, so I'm not certain of its full lifetime, but Microsoft refuses to warranty a second hand product. Long story short, if you want coverage for those first 3 months, buy it new, in package. Otherwise, invest in a SquareTrade warranty on it (not sure if they cover it, but it's worth a try).

This is an amazing headset that works just as well as the regular one. It is also a special edition and matches my special edition Halo 3 Xbox!
Buy this now if it is still available, they discontinued the production of this product! It is a must have for any true Halo fan!
